Multipurpose Hangar building, Pápa Air Base

Steel cladding, good choice

In the years 2016-2016 significant developments have been made at the Pápa Air Base. Ruukki supplied most of the cladding for the Multipurpose Hangar that was built at this time. The main elements of the wall structure are 200 mm depth liner tray, 240 mm mineral wool insulation, and finally trapezoidal sheet or Lamella cover. Besides meeting fire protection requirements, the wide wall thickness with the additional insulation helped to reach good thermal engineering parameters; also fulfilling the near future expectations. The architects used Lamella Groove 10 and 20 together on the facade, which gave additional special appearance to the building. Ruukki's mineral wool sandwich panels are also installed in both outer and inner spaces.
