Rannila is now Ruukki
Ruukki’s broad range of steel roofs serves the needs of builders and renovators. Ruukki roofs were sold under the Rannila brand until 2004. Rannila was a pioneer in the development and manufacture of steel roofs. Rannila, too, focused on high quality. Rannila was known for durable, high-quality coatings as well as for roofing sheets suitable for a variety of architectural styles. Rannila also expanded its offering to include rainwater systems and roof safety products. This provided a solid foundation for the development of new products and roofing expertise. Today Rannila is Ruukki.
Cooperation between Rautaruukki and Rannila commenced in 1991 when Rautaruukki acquired the profiled sheet manufacturers Verho-Metalli Oy, Mäkelä Metals Oy and Rannila Steel Oy. This was a time of rapid internationalisation for Rannila, and in 2001 Rannila started manufacturing steel roofs in the Ukraine and Poland The operations of Rannila Slovakia were transferred to Rautaruukki in 2003 and Rannila was fully assimilated under the Ruukki name on September 1, 2004.
